He also said he’d sign anything they send him. yes, but some of the Republicans said they want a robust package including ending chain migration. All the Repubs said they want a wall, all the Dems said they want "border security". There will be wall money in the deal. Whether it is adequate will be up for debate, but there will be wall money.

Kay Bailey Hutchison R-TX clawed it back in a later bill.
