I went to France during the days of Bush, and people snickered and the restaurant lit up laughing, mocking and said HERE COMES GEORGE BUSH. They have allways been snubs...Any other questions.

Oh yes, that country where it was later revealed that French government was in cahoots big time with Saddam and the Oil For Food scandal.

The French have never forgiven the Americans for saving their asses in two world wars.

All of those Frogs are or could have been Vichy French. Perhaps visiting the coastal rural area would have produced a far different attitude.

An acquaintance of mine immigrated to the US from France. She distanced me after Hillary lost and she stayed home from work and cried for several days.

Having only been here for 14 years, she didn’t understand our political process.

The straw that really pissed her off was when she said to me, “America needs to be like France.”

I responded that, “France would be speaking German if it were not for US rescuing them in WWI and WWII.” I continued, “If you like France so much, why are you here in America?”

She now avoids me like the plague.

I grew up in England, came here as a teenager decades ago. It’s always fascinated me how some Americans go to Europe, fall in love with the “history and culture” and assume that all the people are as sophisticated, that their opinions are somehow superior.

They’re a bunch of know-it-all snobs. They’re just as ignorant as anyone else. They’re spoon fed how great their governments are and they believe it. They don’t question it.

I couldn’t give 2 cents for their opinion. As for Paris, lol, the French are probably the worst - they think SOOOOOoooo much of themselves. Yes I will stereotype - I’ve seen it way too many times, in comparison to many other European cultures.

My Mom was in France (wife of US military) for 3-4 months during the early 1950s. She said the French despised the Americans. After a month or so of trying to be nice, the American wives responded in kind. In contrast, she enjoyed the 4 years she spent in Germany. And yes, my Dad had flown missions attacking the Germans to help liberate the French less than 10 years earlier...

I was in Italy when Bush won his second term...I was mocked and called a bushista...the majority of Europe is left, I can see that today on Facebook, they all make fun of President Trump, they all circulate the same lies and, of course, this new book has now become their repository of truth.
