As expected, stars of film and television blacked out the red carpet of the Golden Globes on Sunday.
Women and men across the industry wore black in support of the #MeToo movement and gender equality in light of the recent wave of Hollywood sexual harassment allegations. Many on the carpet also wore pins supporting Time’s Up, an initiative recently founded by 300 prominent women in entertainment to fight harassment and abuse in the workplace. The group, led by stars like Reese Witherspoon, Shonda Rhimes, Kerry Washington and America Ferrera, was the one to organize the all-black carpet and took the message to social media with #WhyWeWearBlack.
Red carpet reporters made an effort to prioritize asking about the #metoo movement rather than the typical “Who are you wearing?” Stars were vocal about their reasons for wearing black to the awards show and what the movement meant to them. Emma Watson told Variety of her experiences with harassment, saying that “I have experienced the full spectrum, but I think for me what’s amazing is my experience is not unique, the experience of my friends is not unique, the experience of my colleague is not unique, this issue is so systemic, so structural.”
“The Beauty and the Beast” star, who brought women’s activist Marai Larasi as her date to the ceremony, said the movement made her very emotional and added, “You realize if you speak to most women, they have an experience, they have a story, and we’re just scratching the surface of this which is really crazy.”

Their latest political stunt last night has sucked all of the oxygen out of their own attempts at sympathy.

Overall, I knew very few of the people pictured. The good news? The dresses were mostly far more tasteful than usual.

These women, and their ranting and raving, is SO far removed from the reality of my life. I wonder if they even consider that ....I don’t see their movies, I don’t even know who they are in many cases ....

All this drama about the Golden Globs validates my decision to totally get rid of cable TV. What little viewing I do is a lot more intentional via streaming content.
If you ever saw Rush Limbaugh’s TV show, used to wear a whole collection of ribbons as a tongue-in-cheek version of “I’m more considerate than any of you”.
How rich, so called Hollywood female “stars” come to the red carpet dressed like a hooker with boobs hanging out and no underwear and then we are supposed to be sympathetic to their ridiculous accusations of sexual harassment. Bwahahaha
Here’s my theory. Big perverted Hollywood producers leave hollyweird and look for a cheap location to make movies out of the Union system and drop all the current crop of stars for new unknowns.
The men of Hollywood, the elite of Hollywood are perverts and sleaze, and the movies they churn out are porn. The actresses simulate sex and act like whores, and then they are surprised when the perverted, demonic men treat them like whores. How could anybody get shocked. If you are a man or woman, boy or girl, and you go to Hollywood, you gonna get raped. No sympathy for these attention-starved freaks. None of them.

You are correct. They all knew about this sexual harassment. The "casting couch" has been a Hollywood metaphor for DECADES. This sudden desire to be ethical is a publicity stunt.
Hollyweird let me tell you: the show isn't convincing. The more you posture and make yourselves out to be the ones to judge, the less believable.
For a few years it was all "Global Warming" hype. But you all are still burning up lots and lots of carbon. Same thing with this sexual harassment stuff. Same thing.
Nothing shows heartfelt solidarity with women abused as sex objects like
a $20,000 custom gown that barely keeps your girls from flopping out.
The virtue-signalers need to start naming names or shut the f___ up!
Ordinary people are just as fascinating and we don’t need stars
