I didn't even bother to engage them about the items and I'll let you guess the race of the person (hint: they were not Irish nor Scandinavian). They just raved on about him as if he was The Second Coming of Jesus.
[When I visited her place there was a book & cds on her bookshelf labeled “The faith of Barack Obama”]
I hear you. I am not surprised, Yes, I read between the lines. Mind-boggling, isn’t it? Skypilot and I were discussing this the other day in a private talk.
I stood in a church organization and listened to a man want to know if I had the appropriate faith in Jesus (he’s a social “gospel” guy) and he too was completely enamored with Barack. It is astounding, creepy and disturbing to witness face-to-face.
A few days ago, a friend discovered someone on Pinterest that had “jesus” walking with Barack - as if Barack is some sort of light to the world - IMHO, it’s clearly antichrist in nature. I don’t know that he’s THE guy but simply that he does an amazing impression of that guy (in fact, Obama has admitted that some people think HE IS the Antichrist). There are yet things to play out, of course. I’m still of the opinion that man arises from Europe.
BTW, David Letterman is returning with a new show - his first guest? - Barack Hussein Obama - saw it on TV 2 days ago - “Hollywood news” of some sort.
You experience, sadly, reflects what 1/2 of our society has become. Thanks for sharing.
There is a northern state where the Scandanavians also worship Obama as a deity.
I had a co-worker who in 2009 put Obama's ghost written book on her desk in a wooden stand, had the Obama "family" (I put that word in quotes because I do not believe the two daughters are actually theirs) as her computer wall paper, and had one of these plates on a stand next to her phone.
No joke.
