Maybe it doesn’t bother me as much as it does other people, because I’m even worse in that respect. And while I’d probably try to be a little neater if I was a public figure, It doesn’t make him a lesser man, nor incorrect in his analyses.

But it's not about you. It's about Trump, who is fanatic about polished appearances and the look of success. He has made his fortune on high-quality branding on top of excellent content. A slovenly person is almost morally offensive to him in the same way it would be to a drill sargeant—to him, it's a lack of discipline and high professionalism.

Trump is not in the Oval Office to have his morality challenged by Bannon's defiant narcissism, getting in people's face with his disarray the same way Michelle Obama purposefully offended with many of her clothing choices, like the time she wore a dress with black splotches on white to visit the Gulf oil spill victims.

Bottom line, Trump was the client. Bannon was the supplier. Bannon needed to respect that. He failed.

It’s interesting to me that so many of us are now commenting on Bannon’s appearance. It always bothered me but I never said anything because I didn’t want to get flamed. Now it turns out that dozens of us were having the same thoughts! (That’s not to say you did. I’m just posting on the tenor of this thread!)
