USA has 25 sq ft retail space per capita vs 2.5 sq ft EU
Shopping ,as an activity, is in a slump.
A friend worked as a buyer for several of the large department stores, high end Macy’s and Walmart were two of their clients. She told me that both buy from the same suppliers. That $15 dollar spaghetti strap camisole at Macy’s is $1.68 at Walmart.
IMHO, Macy’s is for people who have money to burn and want to brag about where they buy their clothes.
There are to many women’s stores..
There are too many women’s stores selling the same cr@p. If I don’t want it at one store at any price point, why would I want it an another?!
I get packages delivered at my house 2-4 times a week. Before and during Christmas season 2-4 per day. Its not shopping. Its the how and where America shops
Last thing I bought at Macy’s was a Trump tie. Then they discontinued the line. I don’t shop there any more. Libtard management.
When I was working occasional “wardrobe refreshes” were something needed.
(you don’t show-up a to a 25 million dollar per year customer meeting looking like a bum :-))
Macy’s One Day Sales were fantastic.
Quality and prices of house brands were excellent.
Polo/designer sale prices couldn’t be beat.
Much of my home is furnished with Macy’s furniture.
Very good stuff.
I do very little spending outside of the basics now.
They are closing the one in the Oaks mall in Gainsville. I think Sears and Kmart are closing stores in Ocala.
Shopping, to some, is a job category.......
I haven’t shopped at a Macys in about a decade because the quality is crap. I can get better stuff at Nordstrom and specialty stores.
