In his first comments after being blasted by President Donald Trump earlier in the day, Steve Bannon called Trump "a great man" while hosting a radio show Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, Trump's attorney said that he has sent a cease and desist letter to the former White House chief strategist over the critical comments made in the forthcoming book by Michael Wolff.

Well, Mr. Bannon, you have a very strange way of showing your “support” for MAGA and this “great man” you claim to approve of !!
Bannon also getting torn to pieces in the Breitbart comment sections.
The doggy is learning to behave, but he’s finished.
Maybe.
Maybe.
Bannon was an early Trump supporter. I believe he represents a strong Trump constituency. And I do not believe there is anyone else representing the group, in the administration at the moment.
Maybe he’s offbase. Or maybe he’s completely right, but just needed to be reminded who is in charge.
Give him a couple days.
Maybe this is all a planned diversion?
And fails to deny any of the statements attributed to him
No...If I remember correctly, Bannon, Breitbart/Mercer were all hitched up to the Ted “Marjoe Gortner” Cruz mobile. Once that ship crashed on the reefs, everyone was looking around for a campaign to latch onto. Carson was no where to be seen, Yeb! was out selling guac bowls at senior raffles and then there was who else? Robot Rubio....Robot Rubio...Robot Rubio.... but I repeat myself..
So they took their Brietbart/Mercer email database and helded over to the Trump Tower...and the rest is history.
THe comments everybody is blasting him for were in the nadir of the campaign where almost everybody thought Trump was going to lose and everybody was frustrated. I’m not sure how much of the book to believe but if Bannon is repentant for whatever he did I think people should cut him some slack. Breitbart is a major cog in the altright network. We’re fighting for our lives against the left. Now is not the time to tear each other apart.
If I remember the facts of the trump tower meeting came out this in 2017....far after the campaign. Bannon was still working in the WH when the details of the meeting with rooskies came out last summer.
Just when the Trump Russia fake collusion story was fading, this came out to give it Life. The anti-Trump trolls on Breitbart are overjoyed.
As a daily Breitbart listener but not a Bannon fan, I dont want Bannon to drag the rest of Breitbart down or the President either.
Michael Wolff, a journalist and author, took quotes from an interview with Steve Bannon out of context to pump up the ratings on his new book “Fire and Fury”, a work of politicalfiction.

>And fails to deny any of the statements attributed to him
That’s the real problem here.
Bannon couldve have been a deep state troll from the start - who better to weaponize than him?
Hes gotta have lots of dirt to leverage from the past.
A couple days ? Exactly what the FBI stooges want. Odd that.
Bannon was just played. Willfully or fraudulently, at this point what does it matter ?
He’s a gadfly. He knows he’s going to get canned and first thing he does is go running to the left-wing rag the American Prospect?
Weird how most of the leaks seemed to dry up after his departure. I’m convinced he used them to try and get the personnel changes that he wanted all while pretending to be one of Trump’s most trusted confidants.
Hard to believe Bannon was the feckless fool now portrayed. He seemed pretty solid.
I’ll defer to the honey badger, and reserve judgment.
There is no context the would make some of the quotes any better. Also, Bannon doesn’t seem to object to the context in which they were presented.
Unfortunately, every damn detail matters.
