Why latest Trump ‘bombshells’ may be too good to be true
NY Post ^ | Jan 03, 2018 | John Podhoretz

The veteran journalist Michael Wolff set off a bomb yesterday in the middle of Trumpworld when details emerged from his new inside-the-White-House book, “Fire and Fury.”

In The Guardian, the world read with dropped jaw about how former chief strategist Steve Bannon used the words “treasonous” and “unpatriotic” to describe Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting with Russians in July 2016 and said there was “zero” chance the son hadn’t brought the Russians to meet his father. This meeting is a key event in the so-called “Russian collusion” timeline the president and his supporters say was a meaningless dead end.

Then an excerpt from the book appeared on New York magazine’s Web site. The word “juicy” hardly suffices to describe this one. Trump is portrayed as a semiliterate man with no attention span, shell-shocked by his unexpected and unwanted victory, sleeping in separate rooms from his wife, insisting on changing his own sheets, fearful of being poisoned, ranting on the phone about how everybody who works for him is lousy.

And there’s more with our friend Bannon. He is seen and heard belittling Trump in private conversation with the late Roger Ailes (“he gets what he gets,” Bannon says dismissively) and portraying Trump as desperately trying to hook up with Vladimir Putin.

Yes, you’ve never read anything quite so irresistible. But be warned. Wolff is a terrific writer who has a lifelong habit of weaving in solid reporting with arrant speculation, and hard-gotten facts with feverish fancies, in a manner that makes it impossible for a reader to separate what is true from what is too good to be true.

Because Bannon is more of a threat than Trump to the DEMs in their attempt to take the House and/or the Senate?

I agree.

Hold off judging Bannon for several days.

I do not think he deserves the treatment he is getting at the moment. Maybe, but I don’t really think so.

Wait. For several days. Then if he’s out of the ballpark, then fair is fair. I mean if he’s really out there, then sure. But somehow I do not think so.

This seems so completely out of character.

Well, I’ve just gotta ask, what about Obama’s open mic betrayal of the entire nation into the hands of the Russian President, when he said his “hands were tied” but he would be free to act after the election? Doesn’t that rise to Treason? In my mind yes, but others may demur. Certainly nobody paid it much mind when it happened.

To me, it’s all incredible.

Then why is he waiting to deny it?

Maybe, but Bannon never should have been talking to a leftist POS like Wolff, at least not without his own recordings of everything. I’d like to think Bannon did not say a lot of crazy rancid stuff against our “team”, but he hasn’t exactly issued any fast denial while this stuff has been bombarding the MSM today.

I think Trump and Bannon maintained some form of communications, after Bannon left the WH.

Let’s give them a couple days to work this out. Or to publicly strongly disagree.

If that is what happens, then I’ll choose Trump. But just saying. Bannon was very strong. I’m not yet, ready to decide he’s a problem.

Maybe. Maybe to others. Maybe even for me, but give it a couple of days to work itself out, if it is going to be worked out.

They could figure out, and solve, whatever breakdown in communication they have here.

Heck, maybe they could even have Bannon rejoin the WH. Or maybe that is completely not going to happen.

All I am saying, is wait a couple days.

The cease and desist order says it all. Stop or else...If all this is true Bannon violated his non-disclosure, that’s a legally binding contract.

Podhoretz has fallen so far that he's now hoping our duly elected President will be ousted. What a miserable POS.

If so, why was the President tweeting against Bannon today, along with Don Jr.?

This just means the deep state is about to take its last gasp shot at Trump. And we know what form that will take by Bannon’s comment. They will attack Trump Jr.. It is all about that meeting with the GPS Russian stooge. That is all these losers have now.

And if you will note, the main players are asking for a few more days. So we know when it will occur too. Thus the cease and desist order.

Your delusion runs deep

How does reserving judgment for a few days = “delusion”? The very-fake-news reported gossip that defies character history and common sense, with no proof, perfectly timed. Relax.
