Within a hour of this story breaking, Bannon could have called Beitbart and said ‘Headline this in bold type, I did not call Don Jr a Traitor”. He has failed to do so.

I don't much care for Don Jr Myself, and I would be in no hurry to come to his rescue. I would be more concerned that I have been falsely attributed than I would that accusations damage Don Jr.

I expect some sort of clarification will emerge from Bannon within the next day or so.
