Bannon’s “quotes” come from a new book by Michael Wolff, who has a terrible reputation in journalistic circles for making up quotes and inventing events that never happened.

I'm not sticking up for Bannon here, but just asking people to consider the source - a disgraced and known peddler of “fake news” - before freaking out.

It could be fake news.

But where is Bannon’s denial?

Trump seems to believe it.

It is a fairly simple process to check and see if Trump said what he did. In this case I believe Trump which I don’t always do.

Bannon may end up running for President in 2020. If Trump ends up being a more or less conventional Conservative by that time which one will you support?

Trump believes it. He believes Wolff or Bannon.
