Had to make some pies for a special occasion. The recipe for the crust called for lard. It needed for about a few tablespoons per pie.
Could only find a huge container, so used the rest to fry French fries and taco shells. HEAVEN! What a difference! That is really yummy stuff.
When my grandma made pie crusts she only used lard. Homemade taco shells sound delicious!
