” allegedly use pet names like cutie and sweetie pie to refer to female guests “
Yikes!
Gimme $50K for being called cutie!
He’s 72 years old. Calling a younger person cutie is not harassment.
Boss shouts at you? pity snowflakes.
I’m hope there is more to this than this kind of crap.
On the other hand, NBC went over to the Dark Side many moons ago.
The hate is just dripping of his face. Wow.
“They allege that working with Matthews is something akin to the seventh circle of hell,..”
So is just listening to the obnoxious prick.
I love screamers. Lunatics who believe that yelling at people is intimidating are hilarious fun to play with.
Look for another job.
Sounds like Matthews is a nasty boss. That is not criminal.
But the left should be held to their standards.
Why does Dr. Pepper come in a bottle? His wife died!
Go to a Florida restaurant and if you are not called “Honey” by the waitress in the first 10 min, you are not in Florida.
I actually LOLed.
Is there anything more hypocritical than the liberal elite
Bkmk
“They allege that working with Matthews is something akin to the seventh circle of hell, with the host berating the staff for minor mistakes. One CNBC host reportedly refuses to even be near the MSNBC host. Reportedly, this person wont even sit in the same makeup room if Matthews is present. Staffers on Matthews show used to joke that they were victims of battered wives syndrome (via Daily Caller):
Two former NBC producers independently alleged Matthews would rate the looks of his female guests on a scale...”
Did he make unwanted sexual advances on them, or didn’t he? This is BS.
Bosses are allowed to berate their staff, and those that don’t like it can go elsewhere. There’s nothing in this passage that talks about unwanted sexual advances on the employees. Rating female guests by looks is just something guys do, usually just around other guys. Girls do the same, usually just around other girls. It’s stupid to do guy talk around mixed company, but not sexual harassment.
Yeah, I think they got it backwards.
Point well taken, but...
That’s not being nice to dead lizards .... the stench only hangs around for a couple of weeks...
Uh, no, berating staff is unprofessional and can lead to being fired - just as a raging underling can be fired. It affects morale and productivity. I love some guys here who think this is appropriate behavior. It is not.
It’s been clear to anyone who has watched this guy that he’s a horndog AND has a bad temper. The very definition of a bully.
1999 . . . wasn’t that around the time that President WJC was accused of abusing his office, perjury related to his sexual behavior.... and the unbiased media said that what he did in his personal life was outside the scope of high crimes and misdemeanors, everybody lies about sex, etc? Lots of compromised media people and enablers of compromised people did not let their own lives / experience impact how they reported on that event.
Bill O’Reilly needs to call his (old) office.
Bob Packwood resigned too soon for things written in his diary?

Talk to chair flinging Coach Bobby Knight ... or slapping Woody Hayes (though his case was against an opposing player in the heat of the Gator Bowl) .... Coach Mike “lock-him-in-the-closet” Leach...no women involved in these cases, but some physical manifestation ... verbal abuse never arises to this level (rhetorical)?
The issue here is that the left has not been held publicly accountable to the ever expanding, evolving, sometimes ambiguous standards that they have manipulated and imposed (subject to civil and in some cases criminal penalty) in their positions of power / influence on their political opponents, but they themselves have violated, maybe to a greater degree. To be fair, yes, each case needs to be judged on its merits - including Chris Matthews. But where was the press when Bill O’Reilly was accused? This is their Frankenstein. I take no joy in this sad spectacle.
Well, maybe north FL, or LA (lower Alabama).
