Is it me, or is that a very old (or odd) C-130? I was just looking at the nacelle shape, which appears almost like radial engines!
Most (if not all engine configurations do not show the propeller in the center of the nacelle, they are always “up” a little bit with an intake below, but this picture looks almost like radial engines with the propeller in the center.
Odd, I know I must be mistaken here. I feel like I generally know my aviation, but this one just looks odd...
Confession: I just grabbed the URL of the first decent shot of an AC-130 -- with weapons lit up -- that I encountered...
Current mods fly over my place fairly frequently. If I don't go outside as soon as I hear the props, I'm looking at an aft view -- and can only hear the turboprops' jet exhaust...
