I tripped over my Malinous in the shop and face planted into a large metal lathe three years ago this month.
Had 5 teeth pushed up into my sinuses and 3 lower teeth knocked out, fractured jaw.
Inside my mouth there were 40+ stitches and about 10 on the outside where I punched thru my lower lip.
The braces on my teeth just came off a month ago, no teeth were lost but I did need 8 root canals.
Just now am getting feeling back in my lower lip as the nerve was cut.
I have been in therapy since the fall trying to regain proper balance, currently unable to ‘comfortably’ ride my motorbikes.
I can relate to a fall changing everything.
Man I’m glad you’re still with us!
Holy Cow, glasseye. I’m glad to hear you’re on the road to recovery. I hope 2018 sees you back in full gear.
My (now late) father was in a plane accident years ago, and had over 90 stitches on his face alone, not even counting other bodily injuries. It was a rough road, but he recovered fully. Because it was an emergency situation, he was told he could have stitches with anesthesia that would likely leave big scars, or stitches with NO anesthesia with the likelihood of great scar reduction. He chose no anesthesia, WOW. Within about a year, his facial scars were barely visible.
Happy New Year to you!
Hopefully you don’t have PTFS...
So sorry about your terrible injuries. Glad you are on the mend.
Jesus, that’s terrible, so sorry, prayers for fast recovery.
Holy cow. So sorry for what you have been through.
My God that is truly awful. You sound like you’re healing. Blessings your way.
