Yes. Went Bootstrap right on base. Was in the CBPO from Jun 76 to spring 77, exec to the base commander for about 4 months summer of 77, then up to the 8AF Staff for the next six years... Awards and Decs, Human resources and last couple years Senior Officer Assignments. Was Capt/Maj Chuck Bass in the Comm Sq when you were there? He’s the culprit that got me into scouting.
Bass’ name not familiar. IIRC, our commander was named col Bolint. Barksdale was 2AF when I was there. One of the retired base commanders was elected Bossier City Mayor around that time.
