Update: The deputy killed was a 29 year-old father of two, Zachary Parrish.
The perp was well-known to Douglas County Sheriffs, he was an Iraq vet and had a running grudge against the Sheriff’s Dept. A selfie video of him was shown where he talked to the camera and was obviously a mentally disturbed individual, thought the Sheriff’s Dept had it in for him and was after him.

Interesting. I'd wondered as to why some of the information is being withheld--information normally more freely released.
