Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) said "we are all going to lose patience with the attorney general" over his perceived apprehension to prosecute people like Lois Lerner and Peter Strzok.
"I love Jeff Sessions. I think he is a great guy, but he has got to do the job he is there to do," Huckabee said. He said Sessions, a former Alabama senator, must "enforce the law... universally. Without regard to who the person is."
Huckabee said Sessions may be holding off on prosecuting Lerner, the former IRS employee allegedly implicated in the conservative nonprofit targeting scandal, or Strzok, the FBI agent who sent anti-Trump texts to his mistress, because he does not want to be perceived of "partisanship." "[But] this isn't about partisanship, this is about justice," Huckabee said. "This is a dangerous place," he said of allegations against Strzok and Lerner. "This is the kind of thing you see in totalitarian countries where the power of the government is used to step on your political enemies."

Wrong. Gowdy has the power of criminal referrals.
How many criminal referrals has Gowdy made as a congressman?
He is nothing but a Kabuki actor.
Don't "DUH" me . . . You must think that it's hilarious that we can't put this beast in front of a court . . . If he can't haul in the bitch, then why waste our time blah blah blahing around spending tax payers' dollars for a big stinking show? I am so sick and tired of that woman strutting around, totally "untouchable", and laughing at law abiding citizens of this great country.
I’m hoping Trump and Sessions have had some “back room” meetings and have a plan that is in action and getting all its ducks in a row - 2018 has a chance to make things happen that make a lot of us happy.
I don’t think it’s hilarious at all. When I do find strange is that someone believe that a congressman can bring an indictment.
Jeff Sessions.....Wasn’t he supposed to be Attorney General?
I think the country has already lost faith in the justice system.
***************
We have a tiered justice system that protects the elites and punishes the common man. A top priority of the Trump administration should be the restoration of judicial integrity. Firing Sessions would be a good start toward that objective.
Waste our time? It is the public Job that after so much overwhelming evidence is brought before it to pressure their public servants to bring charges if the job isnt getting done. He did his job and made the case. Whats stopping Sessions and our Presidents AG office from bringing those charges? The evidence doesnt just go away
Sessions DOJ is not doing ANY investigations regarding these scandals.
The DOJ IG and his staff of @400 are doing investigations.
So exactly what is Sessions doing?
He does have the power to order his DOJ and FBI to comply with
Nunes lawful demands for documents and witnesses.
Nunes has been lawfully demanding these documents since August.
Issuing an order of compliance is something Sessions can do.
Where is Sessions order of compliance regarding documents demanded by Nunes?
Its odd how you wont go after the persons responsible our President and his AG. Why is that? Criminal referrals? Bwhahahhaha!!!!
As much evidence as he uncovered there need to be referrals. Thats ripe and funny.
Now I expect to see letters going to the White House and his AG with your anger on why HIS AG isnt indicting.
Bet you dont
You said Gowdy cannot prosecute.
I simply corrected you.
Gowdy does have the power of criminal referrals.
So u are wrong.
He does have that power.
How many criminal referrals has Gowdy made as a congressman
on an investigative committee?
Zero.
To this you and I agree
And now what? NOTHING . . . Why in the hell did he huff and puff and then absolutely nothing came of it? Nothing! TV Time? Sound bites? Chances for her to continue laughing at all of us citizens? I have absolutely no use for the pig-sewer that is Washington. I was so proud of Trump when he put his finger in her face and said, "You'd be in jail." But since then . . . over a year later. . . NOTHING!
I agree wed be in jail. Trust me Im as pissed as you are on this fiasco. Its been like a Benny Hill episode. Your question as to now what? Its a good question but the now what sits with the current AG and this administration.
Sessions is afraid of offending GOPe, Ryan, McConnell, and McCain......
If the President wanted those indictments hed have those indictments
Ya got to know when to hold em and when to call. Would we play $$$ poker with Trump? Im patiently waiting. Its not easy with todays gotta have it right now mindset.
Something is going on we do not know about..Trump is hands on and not much gets by him...
If Session was not doing his job Trump would have fired him by now..
That post , although true, violates Free Republic Doctrine.
No back pats for you.
Refuting the dogma means no back pats
That’s called the liberal or deep state elitist double standard
