The Trump administration fired the remaining 16 members of the top White House advisory board on HIV and AIDS-related issues, it was reported on Thursday.

The firings were announced in separate letters mailed to the council members by FedEx earlier this week.

The fired members of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS were all appointed to their posts during the Obama administration, according to The Washington Blade.

PACHA ‘provides advice, information, and recommendations to the [Health and Human Services] Secretary regarding programs, policies, and research to promote effective treatment, prevention, and cure of HIV disease and AIDS,’ according to its web site. […]

After Barack Obama entered office, his White House dismissed all of PACHA’s members who were appointed during the terms of President George W. Bush.

Nonetheless, HIV and AIDS activists criticized the Trump administration. …

Sounds like a boondoggle for shoveling tax dollars to left wing hacks.

Precisely. Another funding leak to the enemy left.

“We have been dealing with AIDS on a national level since 1983.

34 years.

There is a cure.

The gay community has wanton unprotected sex, then blames us for the consequences.

I’m tired of this game.”

I’ve contended for years that the gay pleading for a cure for the fallout for their lifestyle is like me standing in the public square firing randomly in all directions and then insisting that the resultant deaths are the result of non gun owners not caring and giving enough.

I thought it was Reagan as the aids problem became a monster during his Presidency. My mistake.

From the Real Clear Politics article:

For the record, Reagan first mentioned AIDS, in response to a question at a press conference, on Sept. 17, 1985. On Feb. 5, 1986, he made a surprise visit to the Department of Health and Human Services where he said, “One of our highest public health priorities is going to be continuing to find a cure for AIDS.” He also announced that he’d tasked Surgeon General C. Everett Koop to prepare a major report on the disease. Contrary to the prevailing wisdom, Reagan dragged Koop into AIDS policy, not the other way around.

As for Waxman’s recollections about AIDS funding, he does an unusual thing for a politician: He’s forgotten the success he and other Democrats had in convincing Reagan to spend more money. The administration increased AIDS funding requests from $8 million in 1982 to $26.5 million in 1983, which Congress bumped to $44 million, a number that doubled every year thereafter during Reagan’s presidency.

The woman who brought my wife and I together, circa 1980. Transfusion following knee ops.

So sad.

“outlaw government unions.”

As an added benefit, it would be fun to then watch all the members go on strike - only to have few folks actually miss them.

Considering how California wants to open up blood donations and decriminalize failure to notify sex partners (past, present, future) about having HIV/AIDS, there is a looming uptick in the spread of the disease by those willfully pushing for an increase in victims.

#AIDSPRIDE and all that.

This “advisor” council should have been fired decades ago.

Good!

Duesberg was right. HIV is harmless. Everyone knows it now, but are afraid to say it.

And lately California has made it a misdemeanor to deliberately infect someone with HIV/AIDS. The measure also applies to those who give blood without telling the blood bank that they are HIV-positive.
