Artic Refuge Still Scarred 30 Years Later

Thirty years after an oil well was drilled at an Arctic wildlife refuge, the effects are still visible from space.

I remember years ago when I first started hearing about the The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR), they showed a map of this piece of land and zoomed out (or in, one of those) and that DRAMATICALLY showed what a TINY piece of land we were talking about. INSIGNIFICANT!

This one little site must be minuscule in comparison. I very much doubt it can be seen with the naked eye “from space”. Although they neglected to say how and with what they were looking at it with.

“Space is YUGE! What part of “space” are they talking about? I’ll bet the Martians can’t see it from their part of space. Or even from Uranus.

“Nearby vegetation died, and the lack of vegetation allowed permafrost to thaw, creating pools of water.”

OMG! THE HORROR! “pools of water”.

In their little video, it looks to me like the drill site has some pools of water (oh nos) and the vegetation on that site is quite green, whereas the surrounding undisturbed area looks DEAD.

LIFE, writ large, goes on. It was neither the “end” of the wild life refuge nor the end of LIFE in the refuge.

Why don’t the AGW alarmists refer to places like NYCity as a “scar” on the land observable from space, and what happened to all the wildlife that used to run free there? Why don’t they? Because it’s about politics, all about politics, not “saving the planet”.
