It seems the blood of American's (in two world wars) for the sake of pathetic Western Europe was all in vain. Could it be America staying out of WWI would negate a future Hitler and fury of Germany? Eastern Europe gets it having shed the Communists not long ago and know the Muslims are not compatible with Western Civilization as a whole.
Pick the poison: The German Empire under Wilhelm or the ex Stasi b*tch Merkel and her Jihad Muslims. Hindsight upon history can be peculiar.
Yes it is hindsight to talk of this now but many people argued against WWI involvement at the time. And Wilson won re-election by promising to keep us out of war.
If we had stayed out there probably would have been a negotiated settlement and no Hitler. And maybe no Lenin, though that is less clear. But certainly, without Hitler, no Stalin conquest of Eastern Europe.
As for good guys and bad guys, the Germans were certainly the aggressors in Europe and in the Atlantic (a hard thing for us to ignore, I know), but all around the globe the Brits, the French and the Belgians were acting like a bunch of proto-Hitlers and as we see today Western Europe as a whole isn’t worth a single John Kerry band-aide wound of a single American citizen.
