Organisers of Berlin's New Year's Eve celebrations are to set up a "safe zone" for women for the first time. The new security measures planned for the Brandenburg Gate party come amid concerns about sexual assaults.
A large number of assaults and robberies targeting women at Cologne's New Year's Eve celebrations two years ago horrified Germany. Hundreds of women reported being attacked by gangs of men with migrant backgrounds.

I’ll bet you’re right. The Safe Zone will probably be protected by temporary fences, like the ones you see around construction sites. One good push and down they’ll go.
How do they get home afterwards?
Better keep them penned up for their own safety, I guess.

Maybe Berlin will take a tip from Sweden. Awhile back I read an article about how some Swedish police officers are afraid to drive to their own police stations. That’s because they are sometimes attacked by “peaceful immigrants” while driving to work.
So the officers are picked up by a special police bus and driven to their stations. The bus takes them home at the end of the day.
