Adam Serwer argues persuasively in the Atlantic that Trump’s election could not be explained by “economic anxiety,” because the poorest voters — those making less than $50,000 a year — voted predominantly for Hillary Clinton.

And what is buried in that statistic? How many are urban blacks on welfare? And poor single moms? That is the natural Dem constituency.
