The intelligent thing would be to have a female 005 or some such partner with Daniel Craig, and see if she clicks enough with the audience to give her her own movie later, rather than risk killing the Bond franchise.
Didn’t they try that in the opening of the third Craig movie? Where he is fighting atop the train and the woman he’s with—and several hundred yards away—takes a sniper shot and misses?
