My objection to this stupid idea is a female James Bond would be no better than a third rate Modesty Blaise.
Both Doctor Who and Bond had female companions tagging along after the Alpha Male lead. Make the lead female, and it won’t be the same. Wimpy metrosexual companion? Lesbian companion?
the latter killed capaldi’s credibility. May is euopean not british. that is why she betrayed the UK in brexit negotiations.
