Politics really can be a lot like show business for homely people. Once someone is "networked" into the system past a certain point, they have too many cronies who keep them from getting the hook and being dragged off the stage long after better talent comes along. Hillary will constantly be ready for Mr. DeMille's close-up because she does know where at least some bodies are buried (and why they are there).
Were it not for impresario Teddy Kennedy insisting on a younger lead for the role - and you don't want to think too much about any couch casting - Hillary would have been treading the boards of the White House in 2008. Imagine how much THAT eats at Norma Rodham Desmond every damned day.
