Nasty People

Christmastime brings out the best in people. Well, most people. In others, the contrast with everyone else at Christmas is more pronounced and exposes them as just some of the worst creatures to ever walk upright.

It’s not difficult to not be a jerk for a few days at the end of the year, most of us manage it easily, and for most of the year. Yet people like Neil deGrasse Tyson don’t view this time as an opportunity to wish everyone well in the upcoming year, but to score points with their mindless blather, or worse.

Tyson isn’t the worst offender, just the first I’ll highlight here.

Known for appearing on TV, Tyson is the liberal media’s favorite scientist not named Bill Nye. And considering the fact that Nye isn’t a scientist at all, Tyson wins that contest in a walk.

He’s an astrophysicist, which makes him perfect for discussing anything that happens in space. Unfortunately, thanks to the power of celebrity and his own arrogance, Tyson fancies himself an expert on everything under the Sun, not just things circling it.

On Christmas Eve, rather than simply and politely wish people a Merry Christmas or, if that’s a bridge too far, just ignoring it altogether, Tyson couldn’t contain his arrogance. “Merry Christmas to the world’s 2.5 billion Christians. And to the remaining 5 billion people, including Muslims Atheists Hindus Buddhists Animists & Jews, Happy Monday,” Tyson tweeted to his almost 11 million followers.

Why? It’s Christmas, just let the anger and arrogance go, Neil. Tyson has not tweeted veiled insults on the holidays of other religions, just Christianity. No cracks about Mohammad on Ramadan, for example. Possibly because he’s afraid, but likely because, as a good progressive, he knows the only acceptable target, from a political perspective, is Christianity…and one wouldn’t want to be out of step with the television elites who made him famous.

But, like I said, Tyson wasn’t alone. The gang at Newsweek (yes, it still exists) couldn’t resist the siren call of being the exit point for last night’s dinner.

In one story, Newsweek recounts how a tree, planted on the White House grounds on the orders of President Andrew Jackson to honor his late wife, is to be cut down because it’s unstable. The story itself isn’t the problem, it’s the headline and the tweet associated with it.

While the story accurately reports, “The tree was about to fall, and experts recommended its removal,” the headline blames First Lady Melania Trump for ruining a piece of history. “Melania Trump orders removal of the near-200-year-old tree from the White House,” reads the headline and the tweet, as if the First Lady just decided to wipeout a piece of White House history.

Why? Because the editors at Newsweek know more people will read the tweet and the headline than the story, and they hate the president and anyone/anything associated with him. So you write a misleading headline that is, in the most technical sense, correct, then plead ignorance when people point out the bias.

Were Newsweek remotely honest, that could be chalked up to an oversight, but it is not. It didn’t sell for a dollar because of its integrity and reputation.

In a separate piece, Newsweek “informs” their readers, “How Trump and the Nazis stole Christmas to promote white nationalism.”

To attack Trump over his repeated claims that it’s safe to say “Merry Christmas” again, the activist publication manufactures parallels between the president of the United States and the Third Reich. Yes, it’s really that pathetic and stupid.

After twisting and turning to connect the president with Nazis, Newsweek does concede, “Trump’s rhetoric differs from that of Nazi Germany’s, most notably because he has never advocated for genocide.” Nice of them to point that out, don’t you think?

Of course, if you really wanted to look at the policies advocated by the National Socialists German Worker’s Party you’d find some striking similarities to those supported by those accusing everyone who disagrees with them of being the next Hitler, but why let the facts stand in the way of a good story?

Still, Newsweek, in spite of the effort, doesn’t get the cake this Christmas season. That honor belongs to the Southern Poverty Law Center.

The terrorist-inspiring SPLC deemed the social media hashtags #MerryChristmas, #ChristmasEve, #Jesus, and #Trump worthy of inclusion on their “Hate Tracker” website. If you made it up you’d be laughed out of your creative writing class, but if you’re an activist liberal marching along under the banner of “tolerance” you get tax-exempt status and an open invitation to appear on MSNBC.

What happened to make these people such miserable sacks of human flesh, I have no idea. Maybe they grew up too close to powerlines and it altered their DNA to the point that their decency gene was eliminated, it doesn’t really matter. They’re here, they exist, and they’re inflicting themselves on others. And they can’t even bring themselves to take a couple of days off…

The best we can do is avoid them like the plague, because they truly are nasty people.

I’ve noticed the MSM has essentially groomed and promoted a lot of these so-called experts and commentators, so many placed in prominent positions that it makes me question whether their most basic credentials could have been the result of affirmative action, imagine that.

Mark Steyn had on one tonight, and her talking points were so boilerplate and weak that he could have excoriated her, but he chose to drop it.

Trump: "Merry Christmas".
Newsweek's conclusion: Trump is a Nazi.

It's not about the news. It's about how we can interpret it for you.

Nobody watches them but their own choir. Newsweek hasn’t been a magazine in how long? I quit watching Tyson on his first episode attacking the Catholic Church. Hmmm. Wonder why unlike his mentor he hasn’t been back on a major network since?

Tyson, a self aggrandizing “Agnostic”. Is the epitome of The Affirmative Action Jackson

And of course, he has to play the role assigned by his White Slavemasters in order to stay on The Plantation

I remember watching this guy when he was a nobody on a science show that used to be on Friday nights called “Cosmic Odyssey’’. I guess somewhere along the way he liked having a camera put in his face and fancied himself some kind of celebrity.

The best thing to do is to just sit back and enjoy watching these liberals destroy themselves. They don’t need any help from anyone else. They’re setting themselves on fire over their hatred of our side and it’s going to be a glorious bonfire indeed.

Black Americans are by and large a religious, church-going people.

That must end.

Hence, Neil deGrasse Tyson.
