The haunting faces of prisoners worked to death in Stalin's slave camps
Daily Mail ^ | 12/24/17 | Kelly Mclaughlin

Trudging through mud in sub-zero temperatures, digging the earth with their bare hands and heaving huge rocks with the most primitive of tools, these horrifying photos have revealed life inside Joseph Stalin's gulag prisons, where people were worked to death in Soviet labour camps through the mid-1900s.

This year marks 100 years since the 1917 Russian Revolution, which led to Vladimir Lenin taking control of the Soviet Union. When Lenin died in 1924, Stalin rose to power and became the state's authoritarian leader.

Between 1929 and the year of Stalin's death in 1953, 18million men and women were transported to Soviet slave labour camps in Siberia and other outposts of the Red empire - many of them never to return.

Prisoners worked in the most extreme climates, facing temperatures of -20C (-4F), as they cut down trees with handsaws and dug at frozen ground with primitive pickaxes.

Others mined coal or copper by hand, often suffering painful or fatal lung diseases from inhaling ore dust while on the job.

>>the left would never tolerate the truth being attached to their icons.

Boohoo for them.

The Jefferson Monument stands despite their displeasure.

Post the truth and let the debates begin. They typically have no argument, so it will be a short defense.

6 + million murdered in the Ukraine famine, 18 million imprisoned in the gulags in this report. Do we know the real toll of Russia ‘s communism?

A saying I read years ago: After Lenin comes Stalin.

Lenin was pretty damn bad, himself.

Then there was how Stalin treated the City of Leningrad and its’ wartime heroes.

Stalin always hated the city, he was rooting for the Nazis to wipe it off the face of the Earth for him.

Also, there was Operation Keelhaul, Soviet POWs returning to Russia went straight to the Gulag.

Every body thinks I am to old fashioned when I say;
THE ONLY GOOD RED IS A DEAD RED.
Me and the people I served with trained hard to be the best COMMIE KILLERS FOR CHRIST.
I understand that there are a lot of people here who will say I should not invoke the name of CHRIST when it comes to killing people who desperately need it.
Just remember that all commies and socialists believe that the STATE is god, not the Lord God Almighty
Even JESUS told his disciples that if necessary, SELL YOUR CLOAK AND BUY A SWORD.

Ukrainian grain was sold by “Russia’s” communism to _______ in exchange for machinery allegedly required to defend socialism?

I remember my Father talking with some Army buddies years ago. He told of a Unit review after the Germans had surrendered and the unit commander Gen. Jim Gavin gave a stirring address about how proud he was to have been commander of such a great fighting force and related how they had been awarded a Presidential Unit Commendation along with other awards. He than proceeded to give the rest of his speech about now that the War in Europe was won the 101st would regroup, rearm, and head to Japan to finish the war over there. My Dad could tell the way he talked he was expecting a rousing cheer and enthusiasm from the troops instead of that there was complete silence as everyone looked at the guy next to him and had the same thought, I want to go home I fought my war. Remember most of these guys had been fighting since Normandy, fought in Holland and suffered through the Battle of the Bulge. They were in no mood to go over to Asia and keep on fighting.
