[[Our Sages teach that when the Messiah arrives the festivals will cease to be observed, but Purim will continue to be observed.]]

That’s interesting but they forgot to read Zechariah .
All nations one day will be required to keep Sukkot .

Zechariah 14:16
And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

(Zechariah 14:17) And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.

(Zechariah 14:18) And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

(Zechariah 14:19) This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

That's most everyone *except* the Jews. Which is intriguing because much is documented in the Bible about the Northern Kingdom coming against Judah, Jerusalem.

The holiday is a remembrance of God's preserving the whole House of Israel for 40 years in the wilderness. What do the outside nations have to do with that one.

Unless of course the Northern tribes were dispersed in those nations, supposedly left for dead and forgotten.

Kept and preserved all this time, actually. If 40 years was worth an annual week-long reminder of God's providential care, how much time should be devoted in order to honor and reflect upon 2700 + 40 years.

Joseph (the provider) is still alive, and governor over all of Egypt. Kind of like the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the son of man is lord also of the Sabbath.

Jeremiah 23

5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.
6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
7 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
8 But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.

It's a large ingathering. The holidays are all interconnected around the clock. Purim *is* the flipped over story, the holiday of paradigm shifts. Think Alpha and Omega.
