One thing is certain, the Chinese understand the game of Go.

And surrounding India by buying off Indian Ocean countries is par for the course.

Interesting that opposition leaders decry the Chinese “debt trap” as poisonous.

Anyone who has shopped for ANYTHING, in ANY store, in ANY city, in ANY state in America.

Anywhere.

Is confronted in every single place they shop.

“Made in China”.

It is ubiquitous, it is completely out of control, and Trump RAN on doing something about it.

Will he?

And will he seal the border?

Hmm?

Go is a Japanese game moreso than Chinese.

Japanese also play Shogi which is a form of Chess. Key difference is you get to drop captured pieces back on the board for your own use.

The Chinese have a few variety of Chess - most of which are unique in have a ‘river’ in the middle preventing certain pieces from traversing directly.

BUT - remember that most historians believe that Chess arose in India. There is a lot going on here and both sides are very focused on whatever this middle game is that is developing. I was surprised to see that a China/India conflict was not one of the high potentials for war this year listed in an article here earlier in the day.

I consider Chinas partnership with Pakistan as a pincer move on India and they will likely see it as the same.

The other long moves by China over the past 10-15 years in Latin America and Africa show they are playing a very long game. We’ve basically sat on our duffs and done nothing to counter it the past 20+ years under Clinton/Obama and Bush (though with the wars in the ME he could possibly be excused).

President Trump has done things about it, but the MSM won't report anything good about what President Trump has done or is doing.

For instance, a lot of goods coming into the U.S.A. that were made in China, were done with North Korean labor in China. Yes, Chinese goods that Americans bought have benefitted North Korea, with the bulk of profits of NK laborers in China going to the NK government. President Trump signed legislation this past summer that forbids buying products by Americans from North Korean labor, specifically impacting those from China. He put China's leaders on notice, not to employ NK slave labor to make goods sent to us, and the Chinese government is complying (at least officially they are).

Trump and Modi should and probably will continue to draw their two countries closer and closer.

I have been hard pressed to buy American made parts for my old Chevy. So far the Chinese made starter, fuel pump, coil and a fuel relay have failed within weeks of being installed. Chinese products are worse than Japanese stuff in the 1960’s. From now on I will pay three times the price as the labor and downtime are WAY more expensive than the parts.

Oh, I have rental units. The Chinese made air conditioner parts fail about once a year.
