I don’t have strong feeling about it one way or the other, but the “dreamers” I’ve met (there are a billion in NJ alone /s) have little to no ties to the country of their parents. They often don’t speak the language very well, and were very young when brought here. For years a blind eye was turned to their parents’ crimes by our government at all levels, and that further entrenched them in this country; many remember no other home. I am VERY reluctant to give them full citizenship (particularly regarding voting rights and access to freebies) right away.
At least no citizenship (voting rights) ever, though the courts would probably force that upon us.
