Good grief the previous tax laws brought us 10 Trillion over 10 years and he is whining about 1.5 over 10?

Next step is cut more spending.

The exact point is stated by Nassim Taleb in Fooled By Randomness.

Perhaps a bit of disappointment comes from the “carried interest” loophole staying in despite Mr. Trump’s opposition to it? (Not sure many people know about it). It is a loophole that lets fund managers receive income at cap gains tax rates rather than income tax rates. Mr. Trump ran on getting rid of it, but it stayed:

Because they aren’t capable of thinking for themselves and believe the Rat propaganda machine.

Every time this is discussed on air, a conservative should stress that if they don’t like their tax cuts they can choose to return the money to Uncle Sam. Have a copy of the tax form(s) on hand and point out the line they’d fill in to write a check back to the government.

That is exactly it. It amazes me how many morons in this country are led around by the nose by the media as if the word of the media is Gospel. “These tax cuts will benefit the rich” DUH! As it will benefit EVERYBODY else! It’s ridiculous, especially since the rich pay like 90% of all the taxes. The left constantly constantly pushes this garbage “The rich must pay their fair share!” What? Have them pay 100% of all taxes? Oh yeah then you get the morons who claim only a few people own 90% of all the wealth in the world. OK, so let’s all take the net worth of Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerber, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates etc etc and divide it evenly amongst 7.5 billion people and everybody can buy a bag of potato chips for a day.

Hell - we have whiners on FR that hate it - if they eat the LSM pie and drink the Kool-Aid, why shouldn’t we expect regular idiots to sample too?

Mind you, they’re O K if the other person gets less, just not them. They would completely disregard that they are getting something and focus on their perception that someone got more. He’s right. That’s what we’re seeing.

Americans are consistently in favor of entitlement reform as long as it is someone else's entitlements that are getting cut while theirs are left untouched.

Because “so many” Americans DON’T PAY TAXES so a tax cut doesn’t mean a thing to them.

Rearranging the deck chairs increases the general comfort level. Have some cake and enjoy the circus.

The “tax cut,” is exactly that and it’s a good thing. It will create some economic growth and engender good will by the recipients, but it is in no sense reform. Those of us looking for true reform are being unrealistic—reform is never initiated by the establishment.

Only outsiders can effect change. While we elected Trump because he was an outsider, his business experience has been predicated on teamwork and a get-it-done mindset. While that worked admirably in the private sector, it doesn’t translate well to to the Machiavellian halls of Congress.

It’s the propaganda! Couple that with an empty head public and you have stupid answers to poll questions.

You really going to sit and try to tell us these polls aren’t fake and skewed after the last election cycle? You have no idea what Reagan’s real popularity was either. He won in two landslides so I doubt his approval numbers were ever really as low as the media portrayed.

Disbelief? They were promised savings of $2500 on their health insurance and saw a $4500 increase.

Before concluding that the American taxpayer has gone completely bat****, I'd wait for polls taken after the withholding changes in February. When was the last time that a President made a promise and actually kept it?

Certainly not between January 20, 2009 and January 19, 2017.

I don’t doubt this at all
Also will affect boats used as second homes
Remember when boating industry was decimated by a previous tax change?

Vacation homes, motorhomes, boats with a cabin, sales of those collapsing due to a lot of people trying to sell all at once, who could possibly think that might be a problem? Why, we’ll just wave a magic wand, they shouldn’t have gotten a tax break on that anyway, so there.

It’s a problem if it’s a problem, and problems take many forms. Might even end up affecting you, who knows?

They now have the opportunity to pay their fair share
