Pope Francis is going to need a microscope to see this year's Christmas gift from Lithuania. The small Baltic country has given Francis a microscopic nativity scene where baby Jesus is smaller than a human cell.
Pope Francis will have to look extra hard to see what's special about his Christmas present from Lithuania.
Lithuania's government and researchers in the capital Vilnius announced on Friday that they sent Francis a nativity scene that is invisible to the naked eye.
The scene is a replica of the life-sized creche located in Cathedral Square in downtown Vilnius.
Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite posted a picture on Twitter of herself using a microscope to view a copy of the one that was sent to Francis earlier this month.
"The most important things invisible to the naked eye," Grybauskaite wrote on Twitter, calling the model the "world's smallest nativity scene."
That distinction is still pending, however, as the university where the model was produced said it was only recently submitted for review by judges with the Guinness World Records.

Pope Francis to the Cardinals; “Hey, guys, I shrunk the nativity!”
You tried to.
Perhaps better put, you requested that others censor themselves, then complained when they did not! The former (the request) was not unreasonable.
If you had not done the latter (which was not as reasonable, I mean, c'mon man -- this is FreeRepublic) I wouldn't be posting to you, wishing you a microscopic Christmas.
You can thank me later for bumping this thread...
You know what somebody is going to think about if you tell them to not think about pink elephants?
Please explain to me how I tried to. To "censor" means to suppress, to remove or delete. For example:
I don't recall making an attempt to have any posts here censored. Maybe you can find some.
Are you trolling now or are you so limited in understanding that you are honestly clueless?
This is a standard leftist tactic: “I’m going to say something and you are not allowed to criticize it”.
That is exactly what you did and yes, it is a form of censorship. Take your Alinsky stuff somewhere else.
Look at your own definition! “Censor means to SUPPRESS...”. That’s what you were doing-Suppressing in advance any criticism of Francis the Muslim Loving Usurping Fraud.
You won’t be getting away with that here at Free Republic. Head on over to DU. It’s standard practice over there.
Fascinating! Thanks for posting this.
I already did.

Freedom of speech sucks, doesn't it?
So does common courtesy, apparently.
The function of Free Republic is the posting and sharing of comments on just about any topic. If you wish to be shielded from comments that easily offend your inner snowflake, you may want to consider a different forum.
Nope. That’s another fail.
You can’t call an obvious attempt to suppress speech by some pretty sounding term like “common courtesy” and expect to get away with it. Not here anyway.
This is just another leftist tactic: “While you are free to disagree with me or criticize, if you do so it only proves that you are a discourteous heathen.”
You seem to be seriously inclined to leftist tactics.
You will be called out here on FR every time you try to restrict speech. That’s one of the primary mission objectives of Free Republic-to zealously protect free speech. So quit it.

The university released images of the nativity scene, showing it nestled in the eye of a needle
