Despite all the backlash the United States received for its decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and move the embassy from Tel Aviv to the holy city, another country has decided to follow suit.
The president of Guatemala announced Sunday that his country plans to move their embassy to Jerusalem as well.
"Dear people of Guatemala, today I spoke with the prime minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu. We discussed the excellent relations that we have had as nations since Guatemala supported the creation of the state of Israel," President Jimmy Morales wrote on his official Facebook account.
"One of the most important topics was the return of the embassy of Guatemala to Jerusalem. I am therefore informing you that I have instructed the chancellor to initiate the process to do so."
In praising President Trump for making the decision to move the U.S. embassy, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also revealed that other countries were considering following suit.
"We're now talking to several countries who are seriously considering saying exactly the same thing as the United States and moving their embassies to Jerusalem," Netanyahu told CNN.
The news comes days after the United Nations overwhelmingly voted to pass a resolution condemning the United States for its Jerusalem decision, declaring it "null and void."
Nine nations voted against the resolution, including Guatemala. Thirty-five countries abstained.
Member States in the #UNGA “demanded” that all countries comply with Security Council resolutions regarding the status of Jerusalem.
UN Votes: 128 in favor; 9 against; 35 abstentions.

U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley warned the U.S. would be "taking names" of countries that voted against the decision.
And none of them will be from western Europe.
Western Europe’s anti-Semitism is back and stronger than ever.
What will Beanezula do?
Feliz Navidad
Every little bit. More winning!
Amen Padre!
Oh well, it’s Negra Modelo and tamales for now....
I’d like to see regular progress reports from the Trump administration on the Embassy relocation. Early reports I saw indicated it might take years. That’s unacceptable.
It is rumored that Trump and a DC liberal lawyer had a hand in this.
The woman who Jackson bumped from her United First Class seat was returning from Guatemala the day before its president made this announcement.
Jean-Marie Simons Twitter account is a good window into her liberal mind. She makes a crucial distinction between liberalism and progressivism. She considers progressives (read Marxists) to be destructive of US culture.
Her work in Guatemala has been humanitarian and anti corruption, anti drug. It is perfectly reasonable to expect her trip and the ensuing decision by the G gov to move its Embassy to Jerusalem were linked. She would be a perfect secret ambassador for Trump and one who could easily have agreed to serve this function. If that is true Jacksons actions against her are all the more nefarious.
Also please note that Rome was not built in one day either.
I hear from some shortwave guys that say you can build a modern home in the mountains there for $39 sq. Theivery is rampant but you can run razor wire around you compound and with some smarts use it for an antenna that will get you to Europe.
They say the current Gov will let you conceal carry as an American, or you can hire Jose to tote shotgun
Feliz Navidad
My daughter visited Guatemala on a CA trip some years ago. Her favorite people were the Guatemalans. They were family friendly, protective and loving.
Will there be a UN vote to denounce Guatemala?
Never seen it before, but the picture on the label has the look of old Soviet-era propagandist art..
I bought 6 cases of it out of salvage warehouse 17 years ago. It’s an outstanding beer.
Have not seen it anywhere since then. Can’t even order it online.
Thanks Kaslin.

The dam that held them back is cracking. First you get a few drops of water, then a trickle, then a stream...
“What will Beanezula do? - Feliz Navidad”
Superseding “He (Hugo) is always with us”, the phrase this year is Infeliz Navidad - Unhappy Christmas. Even the “MANURO Diet of Stone Soup is becoming a delicacy.
I’d guess Poland will be the first out of Europe, though maybe Hungary since they have embraced an ‘up yours’ government full throttle.
