[[The Cardinals chose poorly]]
Their choice is exposing the truth . Neither they nor the one they chose know God's word.
There is a reason God gave us the scriptures.
Jesus himself said (John 17:17) Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

(John 1:14) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

If you don't know his word you can't know him. If you don't know him he will tell you "I never knew you" (Matthew 7:21) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 7:22) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? (Matthew 7:23) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Jesus said (John 10:9) I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
The pope can't save anyone because he himself is lost and doesn't know him and neither do the cardinals that elected him.

The pope doesn't know it but God is letting him help flood Europe with Muslims so that Europe's Catholics finally realize that their church can't save them and has not been telling them the truth.

Europe's Catholics and Protestants who also don't believe the scriptures are going to be given a choice soon to either follow the real Jesus no matter what it cost them or to follow the demon behind Islam.

"The Cardinals chose poorly"

Concur. Query....is Francis the first Jesuit pope??? I'm not a cradle Catholic (converted about ten years ago), so some of the finer points I still have to learn.

The Cardinals chose poorly

I doubt that’s what happened.
