EXACTLY! I’ve had a few pits over my lifetime, and I have one now (yes, a rescue). He is sweet and is very affectionate with people.
It’s funny, but none of my dogs ever bit anyone. I’ve been bitten by dogs, though, and not a one was a pit, no matter whose it was. Granted, I don’t know any gangbangers and I will have nothing to do with anyone who mistreats an animal, so I guess that minimizes my risk of being bitten. The dogs that did bite me were usually little 10 to 20 pound “designer” dogs. Mutts are the best dogs.

And if this same owner had beagles that women would be alive. What’s your point? It’s a breed that has been bred for killing. Even in the best of hands it is unpredictable and for many barely controllable animal.
