Facing Republican Attacks, FBI’s Deputy Director Plans to Retire Early Next Year (McCabe)

Andrew McCabe, the FBI’s deputy director who has been the target of Republican critics for more than a year, plans to retire in a few months when he becomes fully eligible for pension benefits, according to people familiar with the matter.

McCabe spent hours in Congress this past week, facing questions behind closed doors from members of three committees. Republicans said they were dissatisfied with his answers; Democrats called it a partisan hounding.

McCabe, 49, holds a unique position in the political firestorm surrounding the FBI. He was former director James B. Comey’s right-hand man, a position that involved him in most of the FBI’s actions that vex President Trump as well as the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while secretary of state, a matter that still riles Democrats.

That headline tells us two things. Thing One, McCabe knows he’s about to go down; Thing Two, the WaPo, in desperations, still is in willful denial about criminal wrongdoing on the part of the FBI.

I disagree with those who say he should be fired before he quits. I’m sure he has already destroyed whatever evidence he could destroy, plus this way the Rats can’t say he was fired in an act of “obstruction.” He wants to get out to focus full-time on his own defense, plus he still might be eligible for an immunity deal if he is willing to flip on bigger fish and snakes in the swamp.

McCabe is a small player. Remains to be seen if the retirement is the end or the beginning. YounRe. Prescription. He may have flipped.

Patience is needed here to let it all play out.

Hillary FIXER Comey did NOTHING about Lois Lerner & the IRS targeting of Conservatives

That should've been the warning sign that Hillary was going to get off!

McCabe won’t become eligible for his full pension until early March. People close to him say he plans to retire as soon as he hits that mark. “He’s got about 90 days, and some of that will be holiday time. He can make it,’’ said one.

“Mr. McCabe should in no way be fired by biased political commentary,” said Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Tex.).

“make him fully eligible now (buy out package) and adios him today, under the condition that he tells all in front of Congress open session.”

The crime of the week was committed by the committee of Congress in allowing McCabe this week to testify in closed session. There is too much secrecy in government. It is long past time for the people to demand transparency.

Should have happened months ago.

Omugabe cleaned house immediately. It's a venerable tradition.

The FBI, followed by the CIA, is the ultimate political agency.

Because of its vast powers of investigation, info collection and prosecution, there will always be the constant temptation for politicians to abuse it, or for political abuse and corruption to arise within its ranks. There is always a risk in the Republic that it turns into a Gestapo or a Praetorian Guard.

I personally think it should be reduced greatly to focus purely on particular missions, such as counter-terrorism.

Haul him out in handcuffs.
Hacks MUST be jailed.
Otherwise, the deep state will continue
to undermine Trump.

Notice that it’s about Republican attacks and not any wrong doing on his part. This is how the media shapes public opinion.
