Ammunition Sales Surge as Californians Seek to Beat New Gun Controls
Breitbart ^ | 22 Dec 2017 | AWR HAWKINS

California ammunition sales are surging as residents rush to beat the January 1, 2018, implementation of new gun controls targeting ammo sales.

The incoming controls are the outworking of Proposition 63, passed by voters in 2016.

On December 15 Breitbart News reported that California’s war on guns would broaden to include a war on ammo in 2018. These controls include a ban on any ammunition not purchased within the state of California. Moreover, they narrowly define legally purchased ammo as that which is acquired via a licensed dealer in the state.

These controls will not only lessen the supply of ammunition available to Californians, thereby driving up the price for bullets, but will also add processing fees to certain ammo sales, driving up the price even higher.

Mexico doesn’t want any resistance to their invasion and takeover, thus the push to end the 2nd Amendment in California

🔫💣. Uh, so does that mean each round will be marked in some manner as proof it was purchased in CA. Nuttier and nuttier.

How can they know?

Not a just a handful, but a lot, not so much. Under the new law, outside of familial transfers, it is illegal to give any ammo to someone else.

I trust the ammo manufacturers/distributors will not let CA’s satanic obsession with “gun control” affect those of us who do not live in CA.

Gun control is one of my favorite habits. Not easy to do unless you’re well practiced.

Sometimes the decision is hard: which gun shall I control today?

...How can they know?...

Start with the head stamp. If manufacturer didn't ship to CA in that year, you are out of luck.

If you buy boxes of 20 (rifle) or 50 (pistol), there is a lot number on the box. There is a lot of information behind that lot number. Including where the manufacturer shipped the product.

I’ve heard about some people in CT taking ammo orders from friends and associates before they head to PA for a trip. Just a rumor though because it is illegal. Not that I know anyone by name or anything.

Only congress can regulate interstate commerce. Furthermore, the right to bare arms shall not be infringed is a direct violation.

“What are we stopping here for?”

“I need to get something.” Mark unlocked a cabinet in the sleeper cab.

“What are you looking for?”

“My Python.”

Jonathan’s voice rose. “Your what?”

Mark held up a large revolver. “My Python.” He closed the cabinet door, unlocked another cabinet, and pulled out a box of ammo. He opened the cylinder, loaded six rounds from the box into the chambers, and closed the cylinder.

“What do you need a gun for?”

“Insurance. In case we have to stop in the middle of nowhere, I don’t want to get jacked. The desert is full of predators, my friend, some of them animals, some of them human.”

He was trying to sound like a movie character, but Jonathan couldn’t tell which one. “Well, if you think you need it, why lock it up?”

“It’s not legal for me to carry a firearm in California.” He smiled and said, “But this is Arizona, Johnny.”

Jonathan was pretty sure that one was Jack Nicholson.
