I grew up in a neighborhood full of boys and I had a brother a year and a half younger than I was. When I was nine I asked for a football uniform which I got. I also liked model cars - painting them, putting the decals on them. Loved slot cars. Loved forts and cowboys and Indians.
Do you have daughters that play with the items I listed? I don’t think the advertisers are aiming at you in particular.
