As a life long Memphian, I can say this:
December 20, 2017 - the night racism ended in Memphis. The biggest impedimen to progress and racial harmony, those statues, are gone. I don’t ever want to hear about racism in Memphis ever again. The cause for it has been erased from sight. One other thing, since they’ve been erased from memory, then slavery never existed. There are no reminders of that institution.

Tell us about the political leadership/situation in Memphis. I have been warned NOT to go there because of the crime. I’m getting older and more disabled but I wanted to see the historical music scenes.
