This article is truly remarkable. I don't believe, in the first place, that this guy believes even ten percent of what he spews here. But he seems to get a virtually sexual gratification by saying it. I have used here before the term "climate porn" to describe these hyper-alarmist apocalyptic pitches to the undereducated and overemotional intellectual underclass. You can tell when they are pandering to the choir because usually they include some sort of headline or topic sentence crying "its worse than we even thought!"

I read this whole piece, or almost-- couldn't quite keep my interest up in the swampy middle--and it is the best example of climate porn I have yet seen. A real museum piece.
