Excellent question. And if such aid is so casually cut off, it must not have been that important to begin with.

To buy influence for our businesses in foreign countries. Grease enough palms and you would be surprised how many doors open.
Politicians NEVER spend money that doesn’t result in a large donation to their re-election effort.
