A U.S. judge has declared a mistrial in the case against a Nevada rancher accused of leading a 2014 armed standoff with federal agents in a cattle grazing dispute.
Chief U.S. District Judge Gloria Navarro dismissed the jury Wednesday and faulted prosecutors for what she called constitutional due-process violations and failing to properly turn over evidence to the defense.
The decision in the case against Cliven Bundy, two of his sons and another man is the latest in a string of failed prosecutions in Nevada and Oregon against those who have opposed federal control of vast swaths of land in the American West...

Most would be shocked at the # of body cavity searches these men have endured while in custody. These men have been treated embarrassingly BAD by law enforcement.
Yep. They wanted to punish them so they just used their access to free government money to force them to pay lawyers.
Two Oregon State Police, one each put a bullet in Lavoy Finnicum’s back.
The FBI agents fired without authority and lied about it then went and picked up the empty shell casings to prove it.
“The prosecution might end this since we have DJT as POTUS. Well see.”
The problem is Jeff Sessions. He came down on the side of the Feds.
They are probably completely wiped out. That's they get when someone tries to make a living by putting food on our table.

I’m betting she did this once it looked like the tide was turning and the Bundys might win. Prog witch.
I sure hope they can. The government has persecuted the Bundys and others.
A new trial for Bundy, his sons Ammon and Ryan, and co-defendant Ryan Payne, on charges arising from the 2014 standoff with federal agents was set for early next year.
A mistrial based on prosecutorial abuse should mean this is done and over

The rule for mistrials depends upon who sought the mistrial. If the defendant moves for a mistrial, there is no bar to retrial, unless the prosecutor acted in "bad faith," i.e. goaded the defendant into moving for a mistrial because the government specifically wanted a mistrial.[77] If the prosecutor moves for a mistrial, there is no bar to retrial if the trial judge finds "manifest necessity" for granting the mistrial.[78] The same standard governs mistrials granted sua sponte.
Retrials are not common, due to the legal expenses to the government. However, in the mid-1980s Georgia antiques dealer James Arthur Williams was tried a record four times for the murder of Danny Hansford and (after three mistrials) was finally acquitted on the grounds of self-defense. The case is recounted in the book Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil which was adapted into a film directed by Clint Eastwood (the movie omits the first three murder trials).
When he told the cops they would have to shoot him, he was in the truck behind the wheel with the other people in the truck. One of the people was shooting the video. It’s on Youtube.
This is great news, and only fitting that one of the incompetent BLM A**Holes, Dan Love, has his dirty little fingers all over this whole fiasco.
Why then did the FBI agents lie and say they didn’t shoot? Why is OSP conducting an investigation into the agents?
Bullcrap, he was indeed murdered. The FBI shot and didn’t admit they fired rounds. That prosecution is underway now. Also, a full roadblock like that IS a use of deadly force in federal courts already.
The Bonnie and Clyde ambush was barely legal even in the 1930s. The Feds simply started shooting at the car on their own.
The fact is that FBI “Hostage Rescue” isn’t cops who went to swat. Its a thinly veiled special forces unit where military SOF guys are sheep dipped into LE with a training course. They basically used Iraq roadblock ROE illegally and murdered him...
His stated purpose again and again was to peacefully meet with the sheriff.
“Most would be shocked at the # of body cavity searches these men have endured while in custody.”
Source? I hadn’t heard that. Not doubting it a bit, but I’d like to know where that comes from.
The FBI isn’t who shot Finicum. Finicum did in fact tell the cops more than once that they would have to shoot him minutes before he was shot by an Oregon state trooper. It’s on Youtube.
The thing that most folks outside of NV don’t know is that Harry Reid had a hand in this. He wanted the land for water rights, since there is a monstrous aquafer under the disputed lands.
Locals know this, but it wouldn’t necessarily make the skewed news.
I bet Nextrush has a better Idea than me. Just from reading the daily reports on these trials, there was a stretch that they would cavity search them daily between the jail and the court house for I cant remember how long. I dont think my mind made it up and stuck it in there, but I couldnt figure out why they were in shackels and getting BCS every day, when they were in custody 24/7? I think the Bundy’s were getting ‘special’ treatment. They treated them like the worse criminals the state could ever have, you could tell.
The Bundy’s have been given the Jackboot treatment since day #1.
