Not all the folks fleeing NYS are looney lefties. I know a number of conservative, former owners of small businesses who’ve bugged out. Other states will be fortunate to have them.

Yep...lots of us are hatching escape plans. Someday, when family obligations are over and I'm ready for a change, I will probably make the move either out west or down south. I support myself, mind my own business and am used to semi-rural living where I take care of things instead of expecting government to do it for me. There is a lot of the opposite up here.

Good point. Nearly all my friends down here in SW Florida are New York or New Jersey transplants, and not a liberal in the bunch.
Glad to have them ... Yankee-land’s loss.
