FBI's McCabe grilled nearly 8 hours amid anti-Trump bias allegations

FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe testified behind closed doors for nearly eight hours Tuesday on Capitol Hill, amid calls for his firing over allegations of conflicts of interest and anti-Trump political prejudice at the law enforcement bureau.

McCabe's testimony before the House Intelligence Committee, which had been rescheduled from last week, was the latest development in a controversy swirling around text messages exchanged between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, who worked on Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe.

McCabe was believed to be the "Andy" to whom Strzok and Page referred in their messages.

Gowdy and other committee members were tight-lipped on the details of McCabe’s testimony on Tuesday, and most avoided speaking with reporters. But the committee’s ranking member,U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., said McCabe “has been a professional FBI agent” and that he does not understand “the calls of some to fire him.”

I have been saying Sessions is a Trojan horse for months, and I firmly believe that more than ever. No ethical, honest AG would do what Sessions has done and continues to do in the face of such lawlessness in his own department and that of the “special” counsel who supposedly reports up to Sessions’ deputy.

I understand your feelings but not your line of reasoning. By this logic, no undercover investigation could ever last long enough to produce more convictions than the petty crimes which could have been easily prosecuted at the outset. This fight is against the greatest criminal conspiracy in America's history, and it is for all the marbles. Trump knew the score before he decided to run, and he is much smarter than you give him credit for.

I am tired of the only thing coming from these hearings are sound bites. I have pinned my hopes on those who make a living bloviating, huffing and puffing with faux outrage while never seeming to come to any conclusion.

Congress has no constitutional power to bring its bloviation, huffing and puffing and outrage to any conclusion, and your "never" encompasses all the years that the Swamp had its man in the White House. The difference today is President Trump, whose Executive Branch possesses the constitutional power to force a conclusion. Be of good cheer!
