You know what caused global cooling? I can tell you because not only am I a scientist, but I am a political scientist.
Global cooling was caused by us using less fossil fuels. The exhaust from the fossil fuels trapped the heat which gave us our warm weather. The global warming alarmists had it backwards.
So how do we fix it? Trump has it right. We need to be using our fossil fuels as well as planting more trees to eat the CO2 and produce oxygen. It’s the balance of the two that will keep the world alive. The scientists need to calculate how many trees are on the planet, how much CO2 goes into the atmosphere, how much CO2 can a tree absorb and with that knowledge plant more trees.
Yes. This is a load of crap, but I bet I can crowd fund billions for the planting of trees worldwide.
Sulphur content of fuels was reduced, and exhaust scrubbing implemented for sulphates and nitrates (1970’s) in an effort to reduce acid content in rainfall. As is now more widely recognized, sulphur aerosols reflect sunlight sufficiently to provide a cooling effect—and is now proposed as a way to Geo-engineer global cooling. Reducing sulfates in the air four decades ago, correlates to the rise of air temperatures for the 80’s and 90’s.
