Interesting. Most larger cities and counties in Kalifornia have a “heritage tree” ordinance. Does not matter what kind of a tree if it is bigger than a certain size a permit is required to cut it down. Very onerous process to get a permit.

Irrelevant. You just need one female or Progressive judge and the permitting process can be safely ignored for the causes of Social Justice... for example, killing racist trees.
