A man convicted of leading an Islamic State-inspired plot to behead a conservative blogger who upset Muslims when she organized a Prophet Muhammad cartoon contest in Garland was sentenced Tuesday to 28 years in prison.
David Wright, who's 28 years old, was sentenced by a judge in Boston's federal courthouse two months after jurors found him guilty of conspiring with his uncle and a Rhode Island man to kill blogger Pamela Geller on behalf of the terror group.
Wright's attorneys had asked for a 16-year sentence, saying he should be given the chance to redeem himself after serving his time. Wright insisted he never really wanted to hurt anyone but pretended to support the Islamic State group to get attention online.

As you know, an FBI agent was in near constant communication with the terrorists in the days and hours leading up to the attempted mass murder, and even followed them to the venue in his car.
I don’t know about the other agents, but this guy got caught red handed by the local P.D.
I did not know. Was he trying to catch them?
No, he was their handler!
The FBI knew about the plan and allowed the muslimes to continue on with it.
They could have stopped them at any time but chose to allow them to arm up and drive to the venue. the FBI had no plans to stop them, apparently. For instance, they did not notify Garland PD.
That is a criminal conspiracy right there.
We would not have known any of this had an FBI agent not been caught fleeing the scene.
