when considering Princeton was founded in 1746 by the New Light Presbyterians
in order to train ministers.
I'm sure that the memory of Jonathan Edwards, one of the New Light Congregationalists (Calvinist but not Presbyterian) founders, a president of Princeton, and author of the sermon "Sinners in the Hands of An Angry God" will be greatly ennobled by this activity. /sarc
The club sounds like something Edwards' grandson, Aaron Burr (Class of 1772), might have joined.
Most colleges began by churches to begin with, and just like any organized entity it’s not long before the enemy of men’s souls joins up. He’s usually the first one in the door!
