I guess we'll have to start vetting this one. I'm a little apprehensive as she's the progeny of two school teachers. "Let the Cartoons Begin."

I'm a little apprehensive as she's the progeny of two school teachers You should be apprehensive that she's stupid enough to think Franken is actually going to resign.
I wonder if she's paid anyone anything to throw her hat in.
Lost money.

Franken never had any intention on resigning. All liberals lie.

If she caucuses with the GOP, then the GOP has the committee majorities and the chairmanships. That is all that is really needed.

They have republicans in Minnesota?

Her husband is in the Hockey Hall of Fame. At least she knows about winning, unlike most current GOPers.

With a +1 senatorial pickup its time to shift the game to due process from the they must all be beleived. The dems would never risk a Senate seat, ever. Franken is staying.
The game afoot is to keep Trump crippled (Pence is much worse to them) until the midterms. Then, If the Dems notch a majority in both houses, move to impeach Trump during the election campaign and try to prevent the re-election of Pence.
Not a bad gambit since it is being played against the singular worst political party in the world.

Sen. Al Franken (D), who is expected to resign in the coming weeks, sure he is....

Been in the Minnesota senate since 2012. Married for 32 years. Husband is Phil Housley, head coach of the Buffalo Sabers.
Shame she won't stand a chance against Smith in Minnesota.
