B.S., there was no “Russia investigation” in Summer 2016. Whatever idea these FBI clowns had for an “insurance policy” had to be more definite than just a hope for some future hypothetical investigation.

Here comes the “deep state” try at a cover-up. Easy to see through this one. Childish. Silly.

I can imagine Stzok’s lawyers picking out the best possible explanation and then force feeding it to him without suborning perjury - “this is what you really meant, isn’t it”; “the word ‘insurance’ has many meanings and this is undoubtedly the one you and your mistress meant, isn’t it?”

Quite a bit of words for the WSJ to back up the FBI.

The FBI IS corrupt, bank on it.

This is leaking your guilt so people get used to it and it starts to sound normal. The Russia investigation is the worst possible explanation for that text message. It tells you their motivation was totally inappropriate.

The text was one of 10,000 that were sent between these two FBI officials from August 15, 2015-December 1, 2016

Call that period of time to be 500 days (it's less), that means 200 texts per day, EVERY day.

That doesn't make sense.

No doubt they are floating this out there to see how it works....it’s pretty weak sauce IMO.

Sounds like an admission that Mueller and the ‘Rats ARE attempting a coup d’etat.

The insurance policy was not the investigation
It was seeding the intelligence community with contrived evidence of “ collusion”

then using that contrived ( planted and set up) evidence and the intel community to spy on Trump and everyone in his campaign and instigate an “ investigation” to take down the Presidency

The imsurance policy was not the investigation
It was a set up to justify an investigation

Total crap.

The insurance policy was a FISA warrant for electronic surveillance based on a fake dossier.

I don't get what you're angry about. This is pretty damning stuff about Strzok. This story certainly isn't coming from Strok's friends. It shows that the Russia investigation was a farce.

Your timeline is off. The "insurance policy" text was written in August 2016, before the FISA warrant.

Insurance is a term for blackmail.

These people should go to prison

But not surprised bureaucrat wannabe agents would become pure litigating blackmailing Russian mafia themselves

It is the MO of democrats and Obama: blackmail and threats of violence or even implement of it

Obviously Russians wanted to blackmail Trump without Russians looking the part, using dumb rabid liberals, angry RINOs and most of all Obama as their chief agent to do the job for them

But not until the media and his buddies stops covering up for Obama and Obama for the Russian deep Soviet state mafia and its intrusion in US government will we ever start tackling this crap in earnest

The point is that Strzok had something much more definite in mind (the fake “dossier” or some version of it), something that he thought could really knock out any possible Trump presidency. So, sure, it’s related to a hypothetical future “investigation” but my point is that Strzok aimed to guarantee the results of an investigation. The means to guarantee the end result, not the mere fact of an investigation, is what would qualify as “insurance” in the mind of someone like Strzok.

Yes, exactly! Strzok had to be able to guarantee the end result, otherwise it does not qualify as “insurance” in the context of wanting to prevent or expel any possible Trump presidency. It was not enough to get an investigation, Strzok had to be able (he thought) to guarantee the outcome of the investigation.

The daggone dirty “dossier” was the “insurance policy”. Stzok was arguing for, despite the fact that his girlfriend and boss knew it was dirty. But they went forward with it and now they’re trying to spin it.

More likely the assassination of Trump.

After all - It was Hillary's turn, wasn't it?
